When Ducati created the SS or SuperSport, they wanted to be branded as the perfect racing constructor. They also wanted to compete again all Asian motorcycles that were very powerful, going up to 750 CC. Indeed, the aspect of the 900 SS is very close to racing bikes.
The 900 SS could only be a huge success, the Italian firm used their most popular model and add a more powerful engine for better performances.
Throughout time, the 900 SS has not been altered.
This motorcycle has been produced in 1981. It was registered for the first time in the United Kingdom in 1992. In 1997, the moto was sent to Ireland and came back to the UK in 2010. The actual mileage is 19 035 km.
This bike is in a first class condition, mechanically perfect and authentic.
Did you know that Keira Knightley drives a 750SS (ancestor of the 900) in the Coco Chanel’s ad from 2011 ?
